A talk with Felipe - ‘Jaquetalk’

In this episode, Felipe Waller and I are having a talk about the piece he wrote for me 24 years ago when we were both students at the Rotterdams Conservatory. The piece is inspired by a beautiful Mexican love song Deja Que Salga la Luna. Watch the video to get an insight into how it became De Jaque, Sal, Gala, Luna.

A link to the original Mexican love song Deja Que Salga la Luna sung by Pedro Infante that Felipe used as an inspiration.

A link to a previous recording of Felipe Waller’s solo violin piece De Jaque, Sal, Gala, Luna, performed by Julija Hartig.

We hope you will enjoy it!
