Celebrating Roctet 8 Years

In the completely sold-out Nieuwe Uilenburgersjoel in Amsterdam on a Midsummer night Roctet celebrated 8 Years of making music together.
As it started with an idea of 8 friends enjoying the legendary String octet of Felix Mendelssohn it rolled on unstoppable to the day of today in the form of many concerts and media appearances.
This ensemble has three ambitious goals about sharing music: Masterpieces, pieces you have never heard of, and pieces newly created for us!
On Saturday the 22nd of June we performed 8 pieces written for us in the last 8 Years. Five of them premiered.
The composers that contributed to the broadening of our repertoire are Theo Loevendie, Archie Tulk, Thijmen Krijgsman, Alberto Tombolan, Kilian van Rooi,j Max Knigge, Henk de Vlieger and FENNE.
