The “Mokranjac Days” Festival was founded in 1966 to honor Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, who was born in Negotin. Every September the city becomes a hub of choral and classical music, bringing together leading performers from Serbia and around the world. It is the oldest music festival of its kind in Serbia and a guardian of Mokranjac’s legacy.
